HKUST Students’ Union Annual Election 2013
二零一三年香港科技大學學生會大選公開論壇公告

Dear SU Members,

On behalf of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Students' Union Council, The 20th Session, 2012-2013, I am writing to inform you that First Open Forum of HKUSTSU Annual Election 2013 will be held on 15th February, 2013, 08:00 p.m. The venue will beCommon Room 4A (Ground Floor of UG Hall II).

You are invited to participate in the forum and thus gain more information from the nominated cabinet/nominee.

And the polling days will be held on 27th February – 1st March, 2013. All HKUST Students' Union Full members are eligible to vote. Details are as follows:

Date:           27th February – 1st March, 2013 (WED – FRI)

Time:           10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Venue:         Atrium

學生會評議會在第十六次評議會會議上通過下列不具約束力之譴責決議案：
The following non-binding condemnation resolution had been adopted in the 16th SU Council Meeting:

本會促請學生事務處以及大學校方履行在今年五月時所作出之公開承諾，減少在本科生第八座和第九座宿舍之單人房數目和増加宿位。本會亦促請校方應盡快與全校同學交代事件及公開道歉。
      That this Council urges the Student Affairs Office, as well as the University, should stick her promise made in May, 2012 to reduce the number of single rooms and provide more bed places in the Undergraduate Hall 8 and 9. This Council also urges the University should give an account of the truth and apologize to all students.

暫停香港科技大學學生會冰川社三學生會屬會資格公告

        本人現根據學生會第一次特別全民大會及第十五次學生會評議會會議之決定謹此宣佈，由即日開始直至二零一三年二月二十八日（包括首尾兩天），香港科技大學學生會冰川社三學生會（下稱「冰川社三學生會」）之學生會屬會資格將會被暫停。本會將不會承認任何人等在上述期間以「香港科技大學學生會冰川社三學生會」舉辦之任何活動及簽發之任何文件，而冰川社三學生會之財產將由學生會評議會屬會事務委員會暫時接管。
       
        有關暫停屬會資格之詳情可參閱「Suspension of Affiliation Status to Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU Act 2012」（只備英文本）。

Dear Members,
Notification of Suspension of Affiliation Status to
Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU

On behalf of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Students’ Union Council, the 20th Session, 2012-2013, I would like to notify you that the affiliation status of Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU has been temporary suspended immediately until the end of the 28th February, 2013 (both days inclusive) by the resolution of the First Extraordinary General Meeting of the Students’ Union and the Fifteen Students’ Union Council Meeting.

The Students’ Union will not bear any responsibility to any functions held and document signed on behalf of the Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU during the aforementioned period and the property, cash and account balance of the Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU will be takeover and managed by the Affiliated Societies Committee of the Students’ Union Council.

The details of the suspension can be referred to the “Suspension of Affiliation Status to Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU Act 2012” (English Version only).

香港科技大學學生會在第二十屆第一次特別全民大會通過下列議案：
The following resolution had been adopted in the 1st Extraordinary General Meeting of the HKUST Students’ Union, the 20th Session, 2012 - 2013:


In order to penalize Glacier, HOUSE III Students’ Association, HKUSTSU for its embezzlement of other affiliated societies’ official chops, this EGM orders:-

(a)      that the HKUSTSU Council suspend the status of affiliation of Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU with immediate effect until 28th February 2013 inclusive ; and

(b)     that item (a) be executed within seven calendar days after this resolution has been adopted.

學生會評議會在第十四次評議會會議上通過下列不具約束力之譴責決議案：

The following non-binding condemnation resolution had been adopted in the 14th SU Council Meeting:

早前學生會評議會曾經在大學不同範圍張貼對其中一個屬會行政失當之譴責公告，但有關公告在張貼後不足四十八小時已經被人全數撕掉。另外，上述公告其後亦被人非法複製及張貼。本會對此表示強烈譴責。

That this Council condemns the persons who tore away the Notices of Condemnation issued by this Council posted on different areas of the University with regard to the improper administration of an Affiliated Society within 48 hours after being posted, as well as the persons who afterwards unlawfully duplicated and posted such notices.

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION 議決公告


學生會評議會在第十三次評議會會議上通過下列不具約束力之譴責決議案：

The following non-binding condemnation resolution had been adopted in the 13th SU Council Meeting:

對於香港科技大學學生會冰川社三學生會於其他附屬學會不知情下挪用蓋有該等附屬學會會印之文件借用場地，使該等附屬學會利益受損，以及其後處理手法不當，香港科技大學學生會評議會對此表示強烈譴責，並希望各附屬學會以此為鑑。

That this Council expresses deep resentment and emphatic condemnation over the Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU with regard to the improper application for use of communal areas of the University. The Glacier, HOUSE III Students' Association, HKUSTSU had used the application forms with other affiliated societies’ official stamps without consent and failed to settle this case afterwards, causing consequent damage of those affiliated societies. This Council also urged other affiliated societies should take this as a warning.
